Build a real setup: trend + momentum + volume
Combine filters with AND/OR into one repeatable screen.
One filter finds too much. The real power of a screener is stacking conditions so every stock that comes back has already passed every test. This is how you go from "a list of oversold stocks" to "my setup."
Stack the concepts you already learned
Take the ideas from the earlier lessons and combine them into one screen:
- •Trend: price above the 50-day average (a Stage-2 uptrend).
- •Momentum: RSI(14) above 60 (firmly bullish, from the charts lesson).
- •Strength: ADX above 25 (a real trend, not chop — the ADX lesson).
Joined with AND, this returns only stocks that are trending, *and* have momentum behind them, *and* are in a genuine trend — the "momentum leaders" setup. Far fewer names, far higher quality.
AND vs OR
AND narrows — every condition must be true. Use it to build a precise setup. OR widens — any condition can be true. Use it to cast a net across variations of an idea. Most good setups are AND-heavy.
Tip · Start from a concept, not a filter. Decide the *kind* of stock you want — "trending, with momentum" — then translate each word into a condition. That is what separates a real setup from random filtering.
